Visitor to the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair March 2019 will have a chance to experience exciting augmented reality (AR) features.

Top Media Resources Sdn Bhd is back for the second year as MATTA Fair’s Official AR guide.

“All you have to do is download the eMATTA mobile app, show it to our promoter, and be eligible for one lucky draw entry.

“Winners will be able to redeem the prize on the spot,” she added.

Staff will assist visitors to take an AR photo that can be sent to WhatsApp or email during the AR sessions at the LED panel.

There will be two AR games visitors can play and the top 30 scorers will win attractive prizes sponsored by Tourism Selangor and Eva Air.

Apart from that, Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd, a homegrown money services business operator and e-money issuer, returns for the fifth consecutive time as the official money exchange partner.

Merchantrade chief money services business officer Sarveswaran Raja Gopal said they were offering 20 currencies, including US Dollar, British Pound and Indian Rupee.

He said visitors could also get Merchantrade Money Visa Prepaid card, which has a maximum limit of RM10,000 per person.

“With this card, you can top up through Internet banking anytime of the day. It is like bringing a money changer with you during your travels,” Sarveswaran said, adding about 60,000 people were using the prepaid card.

Merchantrade will offer exciting promotions, including cashback and free gifts for currency exchange done via its online money changing app eForex.

Registration is available online and at its booths located at F1 to F4, at the foyer of Hall 3.

“Those who buy currency above RM18,000 over the counter and online will get a 28-inch luggage bag, while visitors who purchase above RM12,000 will get a 20-inch luggage bag.”

Merchantrade founder and managing director Ramasamy K Veeran said they were the only eWallet player that can lock in the best exchange rates at the time of purchase of foreign currencies without being affected by fluctuations.

MATTA Fair March 2019 – the 47th edition of the travel fair – will occupy seven halls, covering 29,000sq m of exhibition space.

There will be 1,369 booths at the fair offering attractive promotions on domestic and international tour and travel packages from over 268 participating MATTA members and organisations.

It will be open from 10am to 9pm. Admission is RM4 per person and free for children aged below 12.
