Cheaper tickets winging to MATTA Fair

ENJOY an average of 30% discount off international and domestic flights from Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) at the upcoming Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair at Setia SPICE Arena in Penang.

MAB global head of sales Roslan Ismail said MAB is once again the official airline for the three-day fair from Sept 28 to 30.

Visitors can expect great fares on business and economy class flights from the airline company within its network via participating travel agents.

“We are offering an average of 30% discounts, and the discount amount could be more.

“For this year’s MATTA Fair Penang Buyers Contest, we are sponsoring a pair of Business Class tickets to Fuzhou, China, and a pair of Economy Class tickets to Surabaya, Indonesia.

“Visitors can also win tickets from Firefly to five destinations from Penang to Phuket, Bandar Acheh, Pulau Langkawi, Subang and Kota Baru,” he added.

MATTA secretary-general Nigel Wong, who was also present, said the upcoming fair will see 186 booths with an expected visitor turnout of 30,000 people.

“We are looking forward to RM30mil sales turnover from this fair in the over 3,000sqm exhibition space.

“Travellers will have a great opportunity to plan ahead for their next holidays and buy a variety of value-for-money domestic and international packages from over 60 participating MATTA members and organisations,” he said.

Admission to the fair is free.
