Merchantrade to offer multi-currency card, eForex for MATTA visitors

KUALA LUMPUR: Money services business (MSB) operator Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd (Merchantrade), will be offering its newly launched Money Visa Multi-Currency card for visitors at the upcoming Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) fair at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC) from 7-9 September.

Founder and managing director Ramasamy K Veeran said that the company, being part of MATTA fair yet again, will further reinforce its strong presence in the country as the preferred digital and hard currencies exchange brand among travel buffs.

"We have come a long way in offering currency exchange business and MATTA Fair is a great way to reward our loyal customers as well as visitors by offering exciting innovative services including Merchantrade Money Visa Multi-Currency card, eForex online money exchange and over-the-counter, for consumer convenience to exchange their foreign currencies and get the best exchange rates for their overseas trip," he said in a recent statement.

Merchantrade's Money Visa Multi-Currency prepaid card offers customers value for money as they can lock-in exchange rates at the time of purchase of foreign currencies without being affected by the fluctuation of foreign currency exchange rates when travelling abroad.

"We see our business as providing more than just a currency exchange service. Planning holidays can be stressful so we want to offer innovative money service products such as Merchantrade Money that make our customers’ lives easier”, said Ramasamy.

The key feature of Merchantrade Money Visa Multi-currency prepaid card is that it digitally converts pre-loaded Malaysian Ringgit into multiple currencies, at competitive exchange rates decided by the customers.

Travellers can now have fun on holiday and do not have to worry about the fluctuation of exchange rates.

The multicurrency wallet offers eleven currencies including US dollar, Singapore Dollar, British Pound, Australian Dollar, Indonesian Rupee, Euro, Thai Baht, Yen, Saudi Riyal, China Renminbi. The multi-currency prepaid card can be used at Visa’s 44 million merchants globally.

Travellers can also perform money transfer, card-to-card transfer, check card balance and top-up, pre-paid mobile airtime re-load (domestic and international), lock the card, change the card PIN or track their expenses (via e-statement) simply by using the mobile app.

For customer who does eForex money online service, they can either collect their currencies later at any preferred pick up points or get their currencies delivered to their doorsteps.
