Long known for its vast lands, majestic mountains, mystical rivers, unique histories and enchanting cultures, Sarawak overflows with adventure with its many hidden gems and attractions. A total of 11 booths are taken up by the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) at MATTA Fair this year and tourism packages are set to begin at only MYR69.90.

More than 100 Sarawak travel packages will be offered for sale at the Sarawak Pavilion with a total of 13 Sarawak travel agencies and hoteliers participating in the fair. Some packages worth mentioning include the special Sibu package which offers a three day two night food trail through the city at just MYR275 and a three day two night Iban Longhouse Experience at just MYR295.00. Look out for booth numbers 4M001 to 4M011 at Hall 5 of PWTC for the Sarawak Pavilion.

Sarawak Tourism will be featuring lucky draws and social media contests with 10 daily winners, standing a chance to win prizes such as overnight stays in hotels and resorts in Sarawak. In addition, the tourism board will also be rolling out its ‘Sarawak Je’ instagram contest which will feature five daily winners over the three-day fair. Visitors looking to participate can take a selfie at the Sarawak Pavilion capturing any ‘Sarawakian’ theme and post the picture with the hashtag #SarawakJe, #MattaFair and #AwesomeSarawak and tag @SarawakTravel and @WeLoveSarawak to be eligible for a prize.
