LEGOLAND Malaysia Resorts has come on board as official theme park partner for the upcoming Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel (MATTA) Fair September 2017.
The holiday resort, together with the recreational destinations of Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd (TAR&H), namely Kidzania Kuala Lumpur, Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town Puteri Harbour, will be offering special deals for visitors at the travel fair.
According to Legoland Malaysia Resort sales and marketing director Thila Munusamy, their participation in the fair is extra special as it coincides with Legoland’s anniversary month.
“It’s timely that the MATTA Fair is held in September because we are celebrating Legoland’s fifth anniversary, with the actual day being Sept 15,” said Thila who added that they would be throwing a big celebration throughout the month.
“Some of the activities that guests can look forward to at the park are the Lego costume characters ‘Brickdance’, trivia hunt, minifigures trading as well as build a giant Lego birthday cake.”
In addition, every visitor will stand a chance to win some giveaways for the month of September.
“Upon entering, they will each receive a ‘scratch and win’ coupon whereby some prizes will be up for grabs, including Lego sets, annual passes, VIP expeditions, Lego minifigures, hotel stays and discount vouchers,” noted Thila.
For the grand prize, a lucky winner will walk away with an all-expense-paid family trip for four to Legoland Japan.
For the anniversary, Thila said Legoland is extending annual passes to everyone for the first time.
“We normally extend the annual passes to Johor locals only, but now, we are offering them to everyone, and this is exclusively available on-ground at the three-day MATTA Fair,” she highlighted, adding that the passes would be at discounted prices of up to 50%.
With the passes, she said visitors could enjoy the continuous activities the park has in store for a whole year.
Legoland will also be offering up to 40% off for day tickets as well as hotel stays with up to 30% savings.
Thila advised visitors to get tickets early, as the park will unveil a new attraction at the end of the year.
“We’re keeping our park fresh and evergreen, so that our guests can continue exploring.
“We will keep building new attractions and giving guests reasons to come back for more,” shared Thila.
Meanwhile, Kidzania Kuala Lumpur, Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town Puteri Harbour will also be offering discounts up to 40% for the passes.
Kidzania is currently organising sports and fitness activities inspired by the ongoing SEA Games, while Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town will be having summer special activities, games and festive food.
“Legoland Malaysia Resort and TAR&H have been strong supporters of the fair for many years,” said MATTA chief executive officer Phua Tai Neng, adding that working together with such partners helped to promote domestic destinations.
“MATTA Fair will feature seven halls, two of which are for domestic destinations and Malaysian products and services in halls four and five,” he said.
The travel fair will take place from Sept 8 to 10 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur from 10am to 9pm.
Admission is RM4 per person and free for children aged below 12.
